I Confess
Writing this is a poem I followed an example from a book that I had in a creative writing class. An amazing creative writing class at that. It goes like this:
Following this format you can create your own “I Confess” poem. This is what I came up with:
I confess:
I need God every second of my life,
I was broken beyond repair.
God repaired me.
I’m more selfish than I know.
I love to dance when I’m alone.
I sing along to kid’s songs.
I think I could have played professional soccer if I didn’t start smoking.
I don’t know if I actually could have played professional soccer if I didn’t start smoking.
I want to do something with music someday.
I don’t know how to love people well.
Music runs deep in my veins.
I don’t care about you.
I care about you a lot.
I’m bad with money.
Jesus is my best friend.
I’m scared to tell people that.
I’m a perfectionist.
It’s easier to not try rather to try and fail.
I care about what people think of me.
I want to tell people my story of abuse so that they will understand where I am today (so they won’t judge me).
I have a girlfriend of 3 months that I bought a ring for.
I don’t know what I’m doing.
My love is sure.
God gives me security and love…
how do you stay sane?
